New Horizons "Multi Activity" centre is a modern, lively, convivial centre for all those aged 50 and over. At New Horizons we celebrate age, stage and experience. Our aim is to promote active lifestyles and independence. Whether you are looking for new challenges, health support or the opportunity to make new acquaintances, do come and see all that we have to offer.

Membership (75% from K&C Borough; 25% From Non-Borough; waiting list pending.)

The Bradbury Orangery Café will be open from 9.30-4.00pm for food and drinks. (Last service 4.00pm)

PLEASE NOTE: As from Friday 1st April 2016 all classes can only be paid for 1 hour in advance.

For all Physical Activity Classes, there will be NO admittance if you are 10 minutes late. This does not apply to the courses that are advertised as 'Please Book'.

CRAFT FAIR

New Horizons will be hosting a craft fair as part of the 2017 Creative and Wellbeing week. It will be held in the cafe on Wednesday 14th June, 10.30am - 12.30pm.

BARCLAYS DIGITAL EAGLES

Barclays will be attending to deliver some free 1-2-1 help with your online questions and assist with your gadgets and tablets on WEDNESDAY 10th MAY 9.30am - 11am in the cafe. PLEASE BOOK on 020 7590 8970.

AGE UK DIGITAL CLINIC

Get free help with your IT questions in the cafe - Friday 28th April 10am - 12pm.

NEW CLASSES

SMARTPHONES FOR BEGINNERS

Learn the very basics, how to turn on/off, access apps, use the camera, connect online and much more. A Doro smartphone will be supplied for you to learn on during the course, if you do not have your own mobile to use. Starts Monday 5th June 2017, 1-3pm. £3 per class, 6 week course, limited spaces, please BOOK on 020 7590 8970.

FREE ART TALKS FROM TALKING ARTE

New Horizons in partnership with Talking Arte has some new and exciting free art talks/tours coming up and delivered by art historian Monica Guitierrez del Palacio. Exploring a series of themes, beginning with the Renaissance period, these talks will provide you with not only excellent art history knowledge, but also fun along the way!

Every 1st TUESDAY of the month 2pm - 3.30pm (except April, 25th instead and June, 13th instead)

DATE, VENUE & THEME

Tuesday 25th April - Victoria and Albert Museum | Christian art and iconography This tour around the Medieval and Renaissance galleries at the Victoria and Albert Museum offers an insight into the beginnings of Christian art and iconography and the forming of Europe as we know it today.

Tuesday 2nd May - Tate Britain | From Enlightenment to Romanticism This talk focuses on the impact that the Napoleonic phenomenon had on British art, considering the period from 1780 to 1830, with a particular emphasis on the work of Turner.

Tuesday 13th June - National Gallery | Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism Enjoy the amazing National Gallery collection learning about the impressionists and neo-impressionists, who opened the door to modern art.

Starts Tuesday 7th March - all talks are FREE and meet at venue
